Quick comment from NGradio. I really liked the sudden shift halfway through, it was really dramatic, made me feel in danger!

That recurring screech was almost unpleasant to hear, like an icy spike going through my ears: that was appropriate within the context of the song.
Greetings from NGRadio

Unexpected yet lovely mix of genres. The way the piano melody mixes with the retro vibes of the other instruments reminded me of axiom verge, but with a more prominent beat. I also fell in love with those synth strings around 00:30. Good job! :D

Shanlix responds:

I also suggest you check my latest songs because I think my older songs are starting to be cringe a bit XD

FYI on 22/2/22 this song came up in easy listening on NGradio and gave me an heart attack

Trubiso responds:

LOL i'm so sorry but also not

& as always I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Hey dude, greetings from the future(2022). Stumbled into this on NG radio and it made me stop:
It's essential but it does have character. I see you haven't been active since 2006, so I wanted to give a little encouragement, I hope you're still making great music somewhere!

Really nice and emotional, and the context makes it even more heartwarming. The first notes happen to remind me of Hirose Kohmi's "Promise"

Cool track! Makes me think of a convoy making its way though the desert

SymbolCymbal responds:

glad i gave you some mental imagery. my favorite effect of music is the images and scenes it can place in your mind. thanks for the review dude :)

Never listened to something similar before, at first I was confused but I somehow got addicted to it.
Very suggestive, every section of the track evokes hilariously unsettling images: I can totally see an insane Wario running through a dark corridor, entering a control room and randomly tinkering with computers until nuclear warheads start taking off, followed by a giant mushroom cloud and in the end the crushing realization of the destruction he caused, as he looks upon the scorched landscape.
I especially like the weird vocal sample at the end, it makes me think of a radioactive, vaguely human blob dragging itself towards me, so disturbing!

Sounds both intimidating and goofy at the same time, you definitely nailed that "tough but not really" aspect! The industrial feel is fine, but some deviations from the main theme repeat one time too many. I'd cut some repetitions after 1:40 and 3:40.
You could also try to alternate the lead instrument with a 2nd one to add more variation (especially in the aforementioned parts).
Overall a lively, effective boss theme, well done dude!
The critique has been harsher than the norm IMO, but I'm also quite soft.

Yet another great find!
I love those string hits, they add an horror vibe to the music (they remind me of psycho).
I would have liked to hear more of that guitar lead you introduced around 1:26, I always enjoy a nice solo!
This definitely deserves more attention
