This song is so powerful and evocative! I can feel the beauty and inspiration turn into frustration, anger and alternating breaks of resignation, but also determination and hope.

The main motive is first heard at 00:15 with a positive sounding instrument, and followed by an overall upbeat phrase, like an ephemeral spark of inspiration which dies very soon, thus setting the stage for the endeavour that comes after.

This really sums up the creative struggle of expressing oneself without watering down the underlying ideas/feelings for the sake of pragmatism (and getting stuck as a consequence). I find it ironic that the actual inspiration came from the struggle itself (kind meta XD)

That open finale was a delightful surprise and definitely my favorite part. It painted the image of a composer endlessly playing the same notes hoping to come up with the next part.
Fading from that energetic refrain subverted expecations and left a sour taste, expressing that bitter, nameless melancholy that comes after anger and other powerful feelings.

Maybe I read too much into it, but I did my best to express the ideas your song sparked in me.
Have a nice day!

GG dude, very cheerful and industrious! The melody does indeed stand out more since last time I heard it. That call-response thing you introduced at 30:00 is nice, but IMO the responding instrument clashes too much with the asking one. Try making that sound lower or muffled, so that it sounds more like someone answering from afar

Nice! Just be careful about using copyrighted samples, there are strict rules about that on newgrounds (I think I heard a kirby sample somewhere in there). You can read the rules here https://www.newgrounds.com/wiki/help-information/terms-of-use/audio-guidelines

The instruments sound really good and the piece is very intense and overall triumphant. It would be perfect at the end of a bossfight while dealing the coupe de grace! I also love the distortions at the end of the guitar's phrases

Your pieces always have so much energy, but once again I advise giving more space to the melody and turning down the percussions a bit. Also turn up that flute-like sound (I can barely hear it before 0:12). I'd also suggest to silence the percussions (or to make them less intense) from time to time in order to let the melody get more developed and faster-paced.
You could also add a second instrument with a longer release and let it dialogue with the main one (a classic square wave should do the trick)

TeraVex responds:

Ayy! I turned down the percussion and gave a small lil tweak to the solo section's drums in the beginning there. The rest are good suggestions but I feel if I add them now it'll be a whole different vibe but I can see where you're coming from! Thank you so much for the feedback!!

This version has quite a different feel, more upbeat and way less menacing.
I usually tend to like gloomy and dark atmospheres more so I still prefer the original, but this remix is good at what it does

The things I love the most about this track are the chorus at the start and the first drop (of course), especially after the piano comes in and tries to stand out while being rythmically crushed by that powerful metallic sound

DJVI responds:

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it :)

I absolutely love those snares/claps (Im kinda noob so i can't really tell) building anticipation before the drops, sounding like a military march

one of my all-time favourites, this music really conveys the power and beauty of a big-bang (the part at 0:58 kinda sounds like farts tho XD)

So cool (more like flaming hot), so much tension, and that tiny, heroic piano standing out in the middle of hell. The only thing I'd add would be some kind of solo with an higher pitched guitar (maybe before the first appearance of that piano)
